Seller Terms
Rules and obligations for brands, manufacturers and individual sellers on The Mum Hub.
Last updated: 3 June 2026
Eligibility
Sellers must be 18+, legally able to trade in the UK, and (if a business) registered with HMRC. Business sellers must comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, General Product Safety Regulations 2005, Toy (Safety) Regulations 2011 where applicable, and all UK product safety, labelling and marking rules (UKCA, CE where still recognised, BS EN standards).
KYC, onboarding & payouts
Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect. Sellers must complete identity verification, provide a UK bank account in the registered seller's name, and accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. We may withhold payouts where verification is incomplete, a dispute is open, or fraud is suspected.
Listing accuracy
All listings must be true, complete and not misleading. Sellers warrant they have the right to sell the goods, that goods are safe, genuine, and (for preloved items) clean and in working order. Recalled products must not be listed.
Fees
Marketplace and payment-processing fees are shown in the seller dashboard and on listing creation. Fees are deducted from payouts. We may change fees on 30 days' notice.
Disputes & chargebacks
Sellers agree to participate in good faith in Buyer Protection disputes within 5 working days. Sellers are responsible for any chargeback losses, plus a £15 admin fee per chargeback, except where caused by The Mum Hub error.
Suspension
We may suspend or remove sellers for breach of these terms, repeated late dispatch, poor ratings, safety issues, intellectual-property complaints or attempts to take transactions off-platform.
