Terms of Use

The agreement between you and The Mum Hub when you use this website, the apps and any related services.

Last updated: 3 June 2026

1. Who we are

The Mum Hub is operated by The Mum Hub Marketplace Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. Contact: legal@babyhub.co.uk. By using The Mum Hub you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Buyer Protection, Seller Terms, Payment Terms and Safety Policy. If you do not accept any of these, you must not use the site.

2. The marketplace role

The Mum Hub is an online marketplace. We provide the technology that allows independent sellers, brands and members of the public ('Sellers') to list goods and services for sale to buyers ('Buyers'). Except where expressly stated, The Mum Hub is not the seller, manufacturer or importer of any product listed on the platform. The contract of sale is formed directly between the Buyer and the Seller. The Mum Hub facilitates payment, dispute handling and Buyer Protection in line with the policies below.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be 18 or older and have legal capacity to enter into contracts to register an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity carried out under your account. You must give accurate, current information when registering and keep it up to date. We may suspend, restrict or terminate accounts that breach these terms, act fraudulently, abuse other members or pose a safety risk.

4. Listings & content

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and safety of their listings, including product descriptions, images, pricing, stock levels, age ratings, allergens, safety markings (UKCA / CE), recall status and compliance with UK consumer law. Buyers are responsible for the accuracy of any content they post, including reviews, community messages and free-gifting listings. You grant The Mum Hub a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce and adapt your content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.

5. Pricing, orders & VAT

All prices are shown in GBP and include UK VAT where applicable. Placing an order is an offer to buy; the contract forms when the Seller accepts the order or dispatches the goods. We may refuse or cancel orders where there is a pricing error, suspected fraud, stock issue or breach of policy.

6. Delivery, risk & title

Delivery timescales are estimates provided by the Seller. Risk in the goods passes to the Buyer on delivery. Title passes when full payment has cleared. Lost or damaged parcels should be reported within 14 days through the order page.

7. Returns & cancellations

Consumer Buyers have a 14-day right of cancellation under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 from the day after delivery, with limited exclusions (e.g. sealed hygiene items, personalised goods, perishables). Faulty or misdescribed goods are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. See the Returns & Refunds Policy for full details and how to start a return.

8. Buyer Protection

Eligible Buyer Protection claims are handled under the Buyer Protection Policy. Funds may be held in escrow until handover is confirmed or the dispute window closes.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use The Mum Hub to list prohibited or unsafe items, infringe third-party rights, harass other members, scrape data, attempt to bypass security or use the platform for any unlawful purpose. See the Acceptable Use Policy for the full list of restrictions.

10. Intellectual property

All website design, code, copy, branding, photography commissioned by The Mum Hub and the The Mum Hub name and logo are owned by The Mum Hub Marketplace Ltd and protected by UK and international copyright, database right and trade mark laws. See the Copyright & IP Policy for permitted uses, takedown procedure and image rights.

11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close an account, remove listings or restrict features immediately where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these terms, a risk to other users, a safety concern or a legal requirement. You can close your account at any time from your account settings.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to this, The Mum Hub's total liability arising out of or in connection with the platform is limited to the greater of (a) the fees we have received in respect of the transaction giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100. We are not liable to business users for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or indirect losses.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the site and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of The Mum Hub after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, save that consumers may bring proceedings in the jurisdiction of their habitual residence.
